How elections are rigged in Zimbabwe

I'm a former military intelligence officer in the ZNA and witnessed Brigadier-General Nyikayaramba planning and carrying out these rigging missions with selected war veterans still serving in the ZNA. Any elections without sorting these issues would be a waste of time.
1. Nyikayaramba goes out on intimidation missions to all elections and by-elections with carefully selected silly war vets and plots the rigging with Zanu-PF presiding officers and observers.
2. A few Zanu-PF votes wrap MDC votes and are counted as Zanu-PF votes as no one can raise their voice to query this in rural areas.
3. Urban voters who are the majority in Zimbabwe
4. The outcome is predetermined with elections giving a choreographed face to the rigging. that is the role of the central elections centre stage managed by Mudede and silly doctor Nzuwa. Figures are worked out and readjusted to placate the population and opposition by making them think they actually lost when they would have actually won before the doctored results are announced.
Way Forward
1. Independent registering of voters by SADC officials with ID cards or birth Certificates or passports and not letters from Zanu-PF chiefs. Urban landlords should give anyone over 18 letters of proof of residence. The MDC must organise this. A new constitution will not address this on the ground.
2. Independent counting of votes by SADC and international officers with no soldiers, police, CIO involved. A new constitution won't guarantee this. The soldiers and war vets in the military can still rig.
3. Publication of results and keeping independent records for each polling station. All polling stations must have MDC officials and agents to prevent rigging.
4. Counting should be at each polling station. No ballots should be carried away to a central place as this allows for rigging. It makes sense to count, agree on the figures and only send the figures to a constituent and then provincial centre. At least all parties will know figures from each station and can check for accuracy and transparency.

why was the NO vote for the constitution in 2000 not rigged or was it. Where are the MDC "observers when this is all going on" are you saying even the external observers agree to this. Now we have say 10000 boxes surely MDC can have people sleeping with these boxes after sealing they can inspect the boxes before the voting to see they are empty with then no mdc leaves the box until final counting. Ropa though I respect your experience you were a low level rigger who was not in the know of what actually happens in these thgings. your points on the way forward are very good. Are you actually saying NO MDC official accompanies the boxes( your point 3)

Boycott the elections

I worked for IEC here in SA
Guys , although I didn`t have the detailed info but from the distant, i could see that IEC was purely independent. I worked for the 1999 elections here in SA. Yes, the countings were done at the polling stations. Onlookers from parties` representations would be there ONLY as observers. The police were there to guard any form of intimidation but were not allowed near any ballots papers. THE IEC in Zim case has to be people coming outside Zimbabwe. The GOVT must STOP using teachers.

No party should participate in the coming elections if the ground is not level. All the elections held since 1980 in Zimbabwe are not fair. How can you have imbwa Mugabe control everything yet is one of the candidates-1. He appoints the Register-general, 2. Commissioners of the Zim Elect. Commission(all of them known ZanuPF supporters).3. The elections are rigged before people even cast their votes.4. The Army personnel voting more than 20times each in barracks( Because no independent observers allowed).5. Zimbabweans abroad are not allowed to vote- only country in Southern Africa doing this.Why give Mugabe ZanuPf elections credibility by participating in the elections. As with this metaphor, the regime has used brutality, cohesion, instigating fear on its citizens, threats of war, repression, murder and torture to evade punishment from the people of Zimbabwe. Zimbabweans have watched and taken no action while this Mafia gangster called Zanu PF robbed them, terrorised their families and subjected them to inhumanity. Zanu PF is truly a Mafia family or a criminal gang that continues to monopolise crime and terrorise Zimbabweans. This Mafia family has incentives and will do all it can to evade punishment for its crimes and keep sensible Zimbabweans away from the economy. Who in his right mind would continue to say there is no vacancy at State House when one's performance results are inflation 1 700%, unemployment 80%, poverty 90%, and shortages of basic foodstuffs and fuel? While other countries are busy trying to realise the full potential of every one of their citizens, Zanu PF elites are busy torturing and killing Zimbabweans who want this madness to stop and return sanity to our land.

There are many flaws with the article by this so called intellegence officer. If MDC supporteers are not clever they are being disinoformed by people claiming to have inside knowledge about what goes in in government. The result is that MDC will fail to drop up proper strategies and see themselves in the dumps once again. The first issue I have is the claim that there are more urban voters than rural voters. This is is not correct. The census counts have always established that there are more people in rural areas than the urban areas. If you can to read official UN, World Bank, and IMF data, this fact is well established. This means that the MDC has to continue trying to penetrate the rural areas. It is also difficult for persons with veriable physical addresses to be on the voters roll. As such illegal lodgers and squatters find it difficult to be enrolled as voteres. Another point is why does the Governmetn fail to rig in constituencies like Harare, Bulawayo, Kwekwe and Gweru. All these are urban constituencies. Surely would the governmetn not find it more worthy to rig in urban areas than remote rural constituencies. I appeal to MDC supporters to be more critical in the way they absorb information. To me this sounds like ,nothing but disinformation. It might be pleasing to read but, it makes to party adopt wrong strategies.

However if we were to all asylum seekers should not be allowed to vot and their votes should automatically go to MDC why because if they are allowed to believe you me Mugabe will win because these people pray that Mugabe stays on and on so that they can stay here as well. Elections are free
Elections in Zimbabwe have been free and fair and i believe they will always be in the future. There is no chance for any party to do the rigging - look, last time there were even Election Observers who came from other countries, there was great transparency.MDC shld not boycott elections, if it does then its afraid of being beaten neZanu zviri pachena. Zanu won the Presidential elections coz pple thot things were going to improve (full stop).Lets support our father President Mugabe so that we fight poverty as a nation.
